In Moscow there are three accommodation zones. Most expensive living area is inside Garden Ring road (1)where historical part of the city is located.  Today it is also the slowest part of the city because of heavy traffic. Narrow streets built many centuries ago can't host today millions of cars.

Another one area is located between Garden Ring road and Third Ring Road (2). This part of the city is much calmer, in most cases much cheaper. Basically, the far from Kremlin and historical center of Moscow you apartment is the less you pay for your rent.

Third zone is between Third Ring road and MKAD (3)MKAD- Road Moscow Automobile Ring Road - is a boarder ring road at the end of Moscow. We also have New Moscow area - new territories after MKAD which joined Moscow in 21 Century. Rus-a recommends to rent your apartment inside Garden Ring road (despite traffic it is beautiful and comfortable area) or between Garden Ring Road and Third Ring Road. After Third Ring road Good directions are along Kutuzovsky, Leninsky and Leningradsky highways.

If you want to visit Russia you should know that for some countries we have visa free regime (30-90 days)

For other countries visa is obligatory. In any case we strongly recommend everybody, who is planning to visit Russia, first visit our Russian Consulates to get all necessary and fresh information including what kind of documents and invitations are required if you need visa to enter. Before coming to Russia we strongly recommend to get your insurance because medical service in Russia and doctors are expensive.

On arrival passport control has special free of queues passing area  for diplomats. So if you have diplomatic passport you should go there. After passport control and luggage pick up you should pass Russian customs through green or red corridors. In red one you should declare all items or goods that are obligatory for this procedure.Russian customs rules you can find here  

In the airport during the day you can buy Sim card for your cell phone and exchange money. We recommend all arrivals not to exchange money in airports or to change just a little because in airports and at railway stations currency exchange rate is always unprofitable. Also in Airports you can book a room in one of the airports partner hotels.
